Protect your email address online

| 0 Comments | Security

I recently read an article on thenextweb.com that Spam has now reached an all time high, accounting for 92% of all email. Thats an insane amount! People spend a lot of time trying to stop and fight spam, but at 92% I don’t think anyone has won the battle. But there are simple things you can do to protect your email address online.

Anyone who posts their email address on a website, is subject to a spambot crawling and scooping out your email address. One of the simpliest ways of stopping spam from happening to your email address that is out in the public domain, is to encode it. All this means is it stops the spambot from reading it.

We have a unicode converter, powered by javascript, to easily convert your email address to unicode. There are several other ways of disguising your email address online, but this seems to work the best in our experience.
